To access the UCR facility, please follow these steps:

| UCR Login | • You will receive an email from Trudi Loder (trudi.loder@ucr.edu) with next steps to complete required paperwork and set up your access to the UCR system. |
| Safety Training | • Once in our system, complete the following 3 courses online: 1. Lab Safety Fundamentals 2. Fire Extinguisher Safety 3. Hazardous Waster & Materials Management |
| Chemical Hygiene Plan | • Read the ExFAB Biofoundry-specific SOPs and Chemical Hygiene Plan available in the lab. You will be required to sign off on these documents during your lab orientation. |
| Lab Orientation | • Email Carolyn Franklin to schedule an in-lab safety orientation. |
| Lab Hazard Assessment | • You will be added to an LHAT assessment using your UCR email. • Once you receive the LHAT email, login to the system and review all parts including PPE training. • No PPE appointments will need to be scheduled as all PPE will be provided for you. |
| Keycard Access | • Visiting researchers: Email Carolyn Franklin so she can provide you with an access key card to enter the building and required labs. Return the key card to her on your last day. |
