====== BioTek Cytation C10 Confocal Imaging Reader ====== {{:screenshot_2026-07-07_at_7.02.54 pm.png?300|}} **About**\\ The Agilent BioTek Cytation C10 is a high-content confocal imaging reader that combines automated spinning-disk confocal and widefield fluorescence microscopy with conventional multimode microplate reading in a single, compact benchtop instrument. Its proprietary spinning-disk confocal module delivers exceptional optical sectioning and resolution, enabling deeper imaging into thick biological samples such as 3D cell cultures and whole organisms with improved clarity and reduced out-of-focus blur. High-quality optical components — including a Hamamatsu sCMOS Orca camera, Olympus objectives, Semrock filters, and laser-based illumination — enable publication-quality imaging. Automated water-immersion objectives capture more light with shorter exposure times, reducing phototoxic impact on live cells. Onboard environmental controls (incubation, CO₂/O₂) support live cell assays, and multiplate live cell experiments can be run via integration with the **Agilent BioTek BioSpa 8** automated incubator. The system is controlled with **Agilent BioTek Gen5** software for imaging acquisition and analysis. **User Notes** ====== Imaging Modes and Capabilities ====== **Imaging Modes** * Confocal fluorescence * Widefield fluorescence * Phase contrast * Brightfield * Color brightfield * High-contrast brightfield **Imaging Methods** * Single-color and multi-color acquisition * Z-stacking (optical sectioning) * Time-lapse imaging * Montage (large area tiling) **Magnification Range** * 1.25× to 60× (air objectives) * 4× to 40× (phase contrast) * 20× to 60× (confocal) * 40× and 60× (water immersion) ----
